About the role
ANINE BING is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team based in Paris. This role is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of ANINE BING. As a key contributor within our Paris HQ team, the Accounting Manager brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution to their work — supporting our global growth while staying grounded in the brand's DNA: refined, fast-moving, and always evolving. We're looking for a senior, hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a creative yet performance-driven environment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a project management mindset, a genuine sensitivity to Finance × IT topics (AP automation, ERP improvements), and a structured, team-oriented approach. They are rigorous, organized, and energized by leading a team and building scalable accounting processes across an international footprint. Reporting to the Global Accounting Director, the Accounting Manager owns the day-to-day accounts payable and general accounting operations across our directly-managed entities — France, the UK, the US and other EU markets. The role manages a team of three (AP Accountant, General Accountant, and Intern) and acts as the operational anchor of the accounting team, ensuring clean books, timely closes and strong vendor relationships. The role is expected to operate as a true business partner to all operational departments, not as a back-office function. This is a hybrid position based at our Paris HQ, with one remote day per week (Wednesday or Friday). The role reports to the Accounting & Tax Director. Responsibilities Include: • Own the end-to-end accounts payable process across all directly-managed entities: vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, expense reports, and vendor relationship management. • Lead the general accounting operations: journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany bookings — ensuring accurate, timely month-end and year-end closes. • Manage and develop a team of three (AP Accountant, General Accountant, Intern): set priorities, coach, review work and build technical depth within the team. • Partner with the Accounting & Tax Director on the design and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls and process improvements. • Lead Finance × IT initiatives within scope: AP automation tools, ERP improvements, expense management systems and approval workflows. • Support statutory audits and tax filings by preparing required schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation across entities. • Act as a true business partner to Operations, Procurement, Retail and HQ teams — building trust, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth vendor management. Requirements: • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 2 years managing a team of accountants in an international, multi-entity environment. • Senior profile with a strong hands-on mindset: comfortable balancing managerial responsibilities with direct, detailed accounting work. • Strong technical command of French GAAP; exposure to US GAAP or IFRS is a plus. • Solid hands-on expertise across AP and general accounting: full close cycle, reconciliations, intercompany, accruals. • Proven project management mindset and Finance × IT sensitivity: experience leading process and system improvements (ERP rollouts, AP automation, expense management tools). • Genuine business partner mindset, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with all operational departments. • Proven people management skills — including hiring, coaching, and developing junior accountants and interns. • Fluent English required; French is a strong asset. Comfortable operating across time zones
