Your role We're seeking an AML (Anti Money Laundering) Officer for our team. As AML Officer, you will be crucial in ensuring compliance with regulations by effectively applying them in daily operations. Drawing on your proficiency in utilizing compliance testing to monitor and inspect various company units, ensuring they operate within established legal and organizational frameworks, you will be responsible for reporting compliance findings, escalating non-compliance to create unique experiences only Tamara can provide. With a proven track record of maintaining an organized and efficient compliance program, ensuring timely action and effective communication across all levels, and ultimately revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank. Your responsibilities • To be able to read and understand the rules and regulations that govern the business and translate that into practice. • Verify merchants KYC as a second line of defense before granting an approval for onboarding and log all verified merchants for reporting purposes. • Ensure that all consumer KYCs are obtained by conducting periodic sampling and reports of any shortcomings. • Ensure that all merchants have been assigned the appropriate MCC code and risk level from an AML perspective (Jurisdiction, Products, channels, and Legal form of the company). • Ensure that all transactions are monitored and all AML/fraud scenarios are in place and updated periodically. • Monitoring and inspecting of Company divisions /units through Compliance testing to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements. • Prepare a report of the findings/observations, and escalate in case of breeches. • Set an action plan with the concerned department to resolve the breach and find a solution to prevent future violations. • Review of marketing and promotional materials and share feedback with the Director of Compliance. Your expertise • Bachelor Degree in Law or Business Administration or a related field. • 2+ years in a similar field under SAMA. • Fintech and payments related to experience is highly preferred. • To be able to read and understand the rules and regulations that govern the business and translate that into practice. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills. • Analytical and data driven problem solver.
