About the role
At Epignosis our mission is simple yet bold: To make learning technologies accessible to every business, regardless of geography, sector, or company size. And we've been doing just that for more than two decades, empowering millions of people to grow, learn, and thrive through technology that's both powerful and affordable. We're rapidly becoming one of Greece's largest SaaS companies, serving 12,000+ companies and 22+ million learners worldwide with solutions like TalentLMS (an award-winning cloud LMS built for simplicity), eFront (an enterprise LMS), TalentCards (a mobile app for deskless training), and TalentHR (a lightweight HRIS for people operations). Our success is built on a team that believes that work should matter — not only to you, but to the world around you. We're looking for people who light up when solving hard problems, who care deeply about their craft, and who want to build something that genuinely helps people grow. We're looking for exceptional junior and mid-level Software Engineers who think beyond the code, care about the products they build, and love turning ideas into polished experiences. You'll thrive here if you're self-motivated and creative, combine strong engineering judgment with product thinking, learn quickly, and have a genuine feel for great UX and high-quality software. You'll join a team that moves at a fast pace, delivering high-quality software while making thoughtful decisions that stand the test of time. We expect strong engineering skills for your experience level and will give you the opportunity to work hands-on with AI and emerging technologies. Your work will span everything from early prototypes to products used by tens of thousands of organizations and millions of people worldwide — directly shaping how they learn, work, and grow. Responsibilities As a Generalist, Product-minded Software Engineer you will: • Own product development end-to-end—from understanding the problem and shaping the solution to building, launching, and iterating. • Understand and analyze user and stakeholder feedback, translating it into practical product improvements. • Turn ambiguous ideas into clear priorities, focused scopes, and working prototypes. • Shape exceptional UI and user experiences across the product, with attention to clarity, consistency, and craft. • Build across the stack, taking on frontend, backend, integrations, and infrastructure as needed. • Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and scope to deliver value quickly. • Collaborate closely with design, product, and business teams, contributing to both what we build and how we build it. • Ship reliable, intuitive experiences and own testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance. • Measure how products perform, learn from real usage, and take responsibility for outcomes. Requirements To be successful in this role you should: • Be a builder. Turn ideas into working software—and have projects to show for it. • Have a feel for great software and excellent UI/UX. Notice the details that make products intuitive and enjoyable to use. • Think in terms of products. Understand the user’s problem, question assumptions, and help decide what’s worth building. • Be an exceptional engineer for your experience level. Bonus points for: • Experience across multiple technologies and programming paradigms. • Familiarity with asynchronous programming. • Open-source contributions you can point us to. Get your application noticed by including the following: • The things you’ve built. A GitHub profile, a portfolio, or a few good development war stories. Tell us what you built, what you owned, and what you learned. University assignments carry less weight unless they’re complete projects you conceived and built independe
