Job Description: In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation storage solutions. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. This is a System Test Engineer role in the Storage organization of HPE. As a part of this role, you will work on designing test strategies, testing and automating new features and functionalities for the HPE Alletra MP X1000 Storage solution. What you’ll do: • Design test scenarios for new features and enhancements of the storage solution.  enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. • Analyzes the system design and determines the testing and automation activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution. • Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture. • Develops high quality automation scripts to cover various test scenarios, while contributing to, and leveraging the centralized automation library framework • Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced testing partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality tests for end to end storage system. • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding testing and automation status, project progress, and issue resolution. • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects. Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. What you need to bring: Education and Experience Required: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. • Typically 5+ years experience. Knowledge and Skills: • Proficiency in Python programming/automation. • Strong fundamental understanding of enterprise level storage solutions. • Strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Designing software systems running on multiple platform types. • Software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
