About the role
Become a part of our caring community The Associate Director, Network Engineering is responsible for leading Data Center Engineering and Deployment Engineering teams that design, deploy, and support strategic infrastructure initiatives across the enterprise. This role provides leadership for engineering execution, infrastructure automation, AI-ready networking, and large-scale transformation programs while establishing engineering standards, deployment methodologies, and technical roadmaps. The Associate Director requires a strong combination of leadership, engineering expertise, and execution capabilities to build high-performing teams and deliver scalable, resilient, and automated infrastructure solutions that support business growth and innovation. About the Role We're looking for a highly technical and strategic engineering leader to lead our Data Center Engineering and Deployment Engineering organizations. As the Associate Director, Network Engineering, you will lead teams responsible for designing, deploying, and evolving modern data center network infrastructure while establishing engineering standards, deployment methodologies, automation practices, and technical direction that support long-term business objectives. This role focuses on engineering leadership, deployment execution, automation, and technical strategy rather than day-to-day network operations, lifecycle management, or production support. What You'll Do • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Center Network Engineers and Deployment Engineers. • Establish technical roadmaps, engineering standards, deployment methodologies, and automation strategies. • Build a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Own engineering execution for major infrastructure initiatives from design through deployment, production acceptance, and operational handoff. • Lead engineering and deployment efforts for modern data center network architectures utilizing Cisco and Arista technologies. • Enable AI-ready networking platforms supporting NVIDIA GPU and high-performance computing environments. • Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment practices as engineering standards using Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Git, and related technologies. • Lead large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives, including data center migrations, consolidations, merger and acquisition integrations, and subsidiary onboarding activities. • Drive adoption of orchestration, automation, observability, and telemetry platforms across the data center environment. • Partner with Cloud Engineering, Security Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and highly automated solutions. • Provide technical oversight and strategic direction for deployment of network, security, visibility, and management platforms supporting enterprise infrastructure. • Manage cross-functional programs involving engineering, deployment, operations, security, architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
