This role leads the Americas commercial sales organization focused on aerospace OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and tier customers. The leader will be responsible for setting commercial sales strategy, driving growth across key platforms and programs, and strengthening 3M’s relevance with strategic aerospace customers. A critical part of this role is leading and developing a high-performing team that includes both Key Account Managers focused on strategic OEM and tier customers and regional territory sales leaders responsible for broad customer coverage and execution across the Americas . This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Manager, Civil Aviation Sales - Americas , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers responsible for strategic aerospace OEM and tier customer relationships • Lead and align regional territory sales roles to drive local execution, customer coverage, pipeline advancement, and growth across the Americas • Build and execute the commercial sales strategy for aerospace OEM and tier customers, including strategic accounts, regional opportunities, and priority growth programs • Strengthen executive-level relationships with major aerospace OEMs, tier suppliers, and key stakeholders across engineering, procurement, supply chain, quality, operations, and program management • Drive growth through platform-based opportunities, design-ins, specification wins, qualifications, production programs, and share gain at both strategic and regional accounts • Establish disciplined operating rhythms across the team, including account planning, territory planning, pipeline management (strong leadership and management of utilising SalesForce.com), forecasting, pricing discipline, and performance reviews • Collaborate across global account teams, technical, marketing, product, quality, supply chain, and business teams to deliver customer value and accelerate commercial execution • Monitor aerospace market trends, build rates, customer priorities, and platform changes to inform account and territory strategies • Build a culture of customer focus, teamwork, accountability, collaboration, talent development, and profitable growth Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher (complete and verified prior to start date) • Seven (7) years of sales, marketing, business development, strategic account management, or commercial leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment • Seven (7) experience leading customer-facing teams, strategic accounts, regional sales organizations, or complex commercial programs Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in
