Tech II Responsibilities The technician will be required to perform routine calibration, preventative maintenance and repairs to instrument systems and components of laboratory equipment, production equipment, central utilities and building management. Key areas of knowledge and experience include: Full knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Technician will assist as needed in performing troubleshooting and repairs efforts as assigned. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. • Calibration and Measurement : Apply sound knowledge of calibration principles, measurement accuracy, repeatability, traceability, uncertainty, reference standards, test equipment, calibration tolerances, and out-of-tolerance assessment. General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments. • Maintenance Management Systems : Use computerized maintenance management systems and electronic records to plan, execute, document, and close maintenance, calibration, inspection, and repair activities accurately and on time. Errors can be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction. Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contact will include area/equipment management. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation as well as coordination of activities. Minimum Requirements • High School Diploma and 2-5 years of relevant experience, or • Bachelors Degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $55,713 to $83,750 Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
