The Opportunity This position is onsite in Washington DC. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Manages teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation in protecting the organization's business interests with short- term operational/tactical responsibilities. Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of government relations professionals to ensure that all the organization's dealings with government agencies are conducted ethically, legally, and according to the organization's policies and standards. What You'll Work On • Responsible for implementing the company's policy on public and government affairs within designated area/department, including relations with authorities, press, institutions and community. • Oversees the planning of various events, promote and participate in community programs and performs other functions to improve the company's image. • Inputs into development of the approach to the organization's position on legislation and regulatory affairs to government level officials and regulatory agencies. • Oversees the monitoring of current political trends and supports development of relationships with government representatives.
