MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE • Lead and shape market access strategies to achieve sustainable reimbursement, funding, and patient access across key therapeutic areas. • Build and strengthen high-level relationships with government agencies, payers, policymakers, and healthcare decision-makers to influence the access environment. • Drive evidence generation and value demonstration, ensuring strong health economic and outcomes data support pricing and reimbursement objectives. • Provide strategic leadership for cross-functional teams, aligning Market Access initiatives with commercial, medical, regulatory, and corporate priorities. • Anticipate policy and healthcare system changes, identify opportunities and risks, and develop proactive strategies to maximize business growth and patient access. Working Location: Handi Resco Tower, Kim Ma, Hanoi Reporting to: Market Access Director MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Visit and engage assigned MA authorities and customers on a regular basis • MOH committees relevant for market access decision-making • Pricing and/or Reimbursement authorities • HTA (Health Technology Assessment) Agencies • Experts and advisors to MA authorities • Public market formulary listing agencies (e.g. gov’t public health insurance, gov’t funded health programs, gov’t tenders, public hospital drug formulary committees) • Private market formulary listing agencies (e.g. private health plans, private insurance drug formularies) Strategic account planning to build distinguished quality access and sustainable win-win partnership • Map decision-making process and criteria, regular monitor and update • Perform systematic stakeholder mapping, gain thorough understanding of formal and informal decision-making • Understand the accounting needs at organizational and decision-makers levels • Lay out short- and long-term account access vision, goals, key strategies and tactics • Lead the execution of strategic partnership at the assigned MA authorities/ committees • Proper integration of key risks & opportunities, strategies & tactics into country MAP • Monitor competitors’ strategies and prepare appropriate Market access responses Improve access policies and conditions • Lead the monitoring and advocacy of changes in market access policies and conditions, including pricing, reimbursement, formulary listings, payer regulations, and tender requirements, ensuring sustainable growth, enhanced patient access, and long-term value for both Abbott and the healthcare system. • Identify areas to move from low(est) price-based to value-based decision-making, leverage global policy concepts, tools and international experts to improve or preserve access policies and conditions Obtain, maintain and optimize formulary listing (with or without tenders) • Analyze opportunities and risks across EPD portfolio • Formulate formulary listing (or sometime de-listing) strategy • Negotiate with MA authorities and formulary listin
