Job Description The Consumer Servicing Specialist provides administrative and operational support for consumer servicing functions that fall outside standard processing workflows. This role supports the Special Servicing and Exceptions team and is responsible for processing payment-related exceptions, conducting research, maintaining records, performing data entry, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. The position is primarily processing-focused and does not involve direct customer interaction. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced operational environment managing a variety of servicing activities, including rejected payments and transactions, hardship payment relief maintenance, payment returns, lockbox payments, and other exception processing functions. Responsibilities • Perform administrative and operational processing activities supporting consumer servicing functions. • Research and resolve payment-related exceptions and operational discrepancies. • Process rejected payments, payment returns, lockbox payments, and other servicing exceptions. • Complete data entry, data maintenance, and recordkeeping activities with a high level of accuracy. • Track, compile, and maintain operational reports and documentation. • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. • Identify and escalate issues, risks, and processing concerns as appropriate. • Partner with team members and business partners to support operational objectives and service level expectations. • Maintain productivity and quality standards while managing multiple priorities. • Support business continuity activities as needed. Basic Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Four or more years of experience in business and general office environment Preferred Skills/Experience • Experience in banking, financial services, loan servicing, payment processing, or operations environments. • Experience performing research, exception processing, reconciliation, or data maintenance activities. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Experience working in a production or process-driven environment. **This role has in-office expectation of 60% of your appointed time at the posted hub location.** If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants .
