About the role

Job Description The Role The New Model Launch Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain readiness and execution for new vehicle model launches across the CCA network. This role coordinates cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure parts, systems, processes, capacity, and operating plans are prepared to support a successful launch from program development through steady-state operations. Working closely with GM Supplier Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Operations, Logistics, Aftersales, and other key stakeholders, the New Model Launch Manager establishes launch plans, identifies and mitigates supply chain risks, and drives timely resolution of issues that could affect launch timing, service levels, cost, or customer experience. The role supports launch activity across approximately 25 locations and ensures the network is positioned to transition effectively from launch execution into stable operations. What You’ll Do • Lead cross-functional launch teams through planning, readiness, execution, and post-launch stabilization. • Develop and maintain integrated launch plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and escalation paths. • Coordinate launch requirements across Engineering, Supplier Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Operations, Logistics, Aftersales, and external partners. • Ensure accurate part profiles, engineering chains, sourcing information, demand assumptions, lead times, and network requirements are established and maintained throughout the launch lifecycle. • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate launch risks related to supply availability, part supersessions, excess and obsolete inventory, capacity, transportation, systems, and operating readiness. • Lead structured problem-solving for complex supply chain issues, including root-cause analysis, containment, corrective action, and escalation to leadership when appropriate. • Provide day-to-day support, coaching, and problem-solving guidance to direct reports and launch team members. • Establish launch inventory strategies and support the development of demand, replenishment, DRP/MRP, system-fill, and lead-time plans. • Monitor, analyze, and manage key performance indicators for launch readiness and the North America network. • Lead the development and continuous improvement of launch tools, processes, standards, documentation, and governance routines. • Manage third-party partners and ensure compliance with established launch processes, performance expectations, and control requirements. • Develop transition plans that move new model programs from launch execution into sustainable, steady-state operations. • Recommend future strategies related to organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, processes, systems, and enabling technology. • Manage HRM activities for direct reports, including performance management, development planning, talent reviews, and succession planning. • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers, and leadership. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, related field, or equivalent professional experience • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or new model/product launch • Experience leading new product, vehicle, or operational launches in a complex supply chain environment • Experience with inventory planning, demand management, DRP/MRP, replenishment, network design, or related supply chain processes • Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop talent • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and business intelligence tools • Experience working with en
