This position will be supporting our  Annapolis, MD  facility and requires onsite presence due to the nature of the role. In Annapolis, our technical and business leaders develop and manufacture advanced underwater systems, sensors, and vehicles designed to excel in volatile and ever-changing undersea environments. What You Will Get To Do: The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating Multi-Axis Milling Machines. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist who desires exciting and challenging work to join our team! Essential Duties / Responsibilities: • A working knowledge of MasterCAM CNC programing software (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years experience. • Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools including but not limited to manual mills, as well as CNC, 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines and manual 'chucker' lathes as well as, live tool CNC lathes. • Able to align, fasten and fixture work using custom tooling fixture, clamps and various shop aides. • Able to use & understand tool sharpeners, tool tolerances, dimensions, calibrated measurements, setup sheets, callouts, probes, feeds & speeds, and standard specs. • Able to use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work. • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).   • Perform computations relating to dimensions of tooling, feeds, and speeds. • Program and edit G-Code, Fanuc, ISO/EIA. • Implement lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. • Performs all manufacturing operations safely, with quality in mind, and with customer delivery expectations met. • Able to learn and perform other job functions with on-the-job training when required.
