The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10-20 individuals to complete the full software development life cycle in an Agile software development environment. The successful candidate will serve as a software manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SW products to next level of integration, meeting contractual cost, schedule, and technical requirements. This role will report to the GSEG IPT lead for Progress using Agile Metrics and EVMS methodologies. The role is also responsible for risk management and providing technical guidance to the team. The successful candidate will collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test organizations, to ensure the team is meeting the mission engineering objectives of the contract. The successful candidate will implement and utilize several Agile development techniques and metrics to manage the team’s progress and the work quality throughout the product life cycle. This position is a dual hatted role, combining Technical Software Development and Management responsibilities. It reports to the GSEG IPT Lead on the program side and to the Software Department Manager on the EI&E engineering leadership side. Essential Functions: • Participate in the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of software products to our customers • Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems • Cultivate an inclusive and engaging workplace. Ensure employees’ work life balance is appropriate • Workforce: maintain staff adequate to execute to program plans, as well as for strategic growth.
