Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.   Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Staff Electrical Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for an electrical engineering role in our systems and design engineering group. This opportunity provides a chance to have direct impact on the product and mission, moving quickly through design decisions, rapid prototyping, integration, testing, and product demonstration. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily. Your responsibilities will include: • Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electronic assemblies using cutting-edge technologies to advance weapon system capability. • Perform schematic capture, layout, and BOM generation using industry‑standard tools (Altium, Mentor, Cadence). • Work closely with embedded‑software/firmware teams to define electrical interfaces, timing, and data‑link protocols. • Capture, maintain and update system and subsystem‑level requirements. Basic Qualifications:   • Minimum of 12 years of direct relevant experience with B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET accredited school; Minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience with Master’s degree; Minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience with PhD. • Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection; familiarity with signal‑integrity and power‑distribution concepts. • Proficiency in understanding complex schematics and redesigning with modern, functionally equivalent circuits. • Proficiency in developing detailed test plans and procedures to evaluate avionics hardware. • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies. • Strong written and verbal skills; able to produce clear technical documents and lead detailed design reviews. • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external suppliers and customers. • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: • Concentrated focus on electrical specialty such as CCA, digital, or RF design. • Experience designing and integrating test equipment, including CCAs, cables, electrical harnesses and automated test station software. • Experience with legacy system sustainment and modernization, including hardware redesign due to obsolescence. • Experience with Department of Defense programs. • Expertise with Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or Cadence Allegr
