About the role
Job Purpose The Oncology MSL Manager, Oncology Medical is a people leadership role responsible for building, developing, and leading a Oncology MSL team within Japan Oncology Medical. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for all MSL activities, collaborating with Product Medical Leads, Medical Advisors, and other relevant functions. Key objectives include: • Develop and execute a field medical strategy aligned with Disease Area (DA) Heads • Drive excellence in scientific engagement with key external experts (KEEs) and stakeholders • Ensure strong medical governance and compliance oversight across all MSL activities • Demonstrate leadership in fostering a high-performing MSL team Key Responsibilities • Accountable for development and execution of the Field Medical Strategy in partnership with DA Heads • Lead and develop high-performing Oncology MSL team, collaborating with DA Heads • Drive high-quality external scientific engagement with KEEs • Provide medical insights into Oncology Medical Strategy • Ensure compliance with GSK governance, JPMA codes, MHLW regulations and GCP requirements • Act as a leader within the Japan Oncology Medical Leadership Team ※職務内容および勤務地の変更範囲は会社の定めるところとする。/ Future scope of job and working location will be determined by company. 【必要な条件 Basic Qualification 】 スキル/Skill: • Proven people leadership capabilities • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills • Results-oriented mindset with high ethical standards and integrity • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical governance and compliance in Japan 経験/Experience: • Significant experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry • Demonstrated leadership of Medical Affairs teams or functions • Strong experience in Oncology therapeutic areas • Experience supporting Oncology product launches • Solid understanding of the Japanese healthcare environment 学位/資格/語学力 Education/Certification/Language: • BSc or equivalent advanced scientific degree • Fluency in Japanese and English ※日本での就労資格を有すること。/ Legal right to work in Japan.
