Manufacturing Operations Support Manager Closing Date: 19th October 2026 (COB) Business Introduction We manufacture and supply reliable, high-quality medicines and vaccines to meet patients’ needs and drive our performance. Our network of 37 medicines and vaccines manufacturing sites delivered 1.7 billion packs of medicines and 409 million vaccine doses in 2024 to help make a positive impact on the health of millions of people. Technology is transforming how we manufacture medicines and vaccines, enabling us to increase the speed, quality and scale of product supply. Position Summary You will lead manufacturing operations support for a UK site, working with operations, quality, engineering and supply teams. You will ensure safe, compliant and reliable production while coaching others and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Lead and coordinate daily operational support activities to meet production schedules, safety and quality requirements. - Act as the primary operations contact for projects, transfers and handovers into production. - Support internal and external audit readiness and act as a contact during inspections. - Manage responses to deviations, incidents and investigations, driving timely root cause analysis and corrective actions. - Coach frontline leaders and technicians to embed standard work and continuous improvement practices. - Work with engineering and planning to maintain business continuity, resource plans and local operating procedures. Why You? Working model: This role is site-based at a GSK manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom. You should expect to spend most of your time on site. The role may involve shift work and occasional extended hours. Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals - Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or packaging environment. - Experience in an operational or operations support role with day-to-day delivery responsibilities. - Proven experience managing deviations, investigations and corrective actions. - Experience supporting internal or external audits and inspection readiness. - Track record of delivering continuous improvement or operational change. - Right to work in the United Kingdom. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus - Formal qualification in engineering, science, manufacturing or a related discipline. - Experience with manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES or electronic batch records. - Experience of production planning, capacity management or rostering for shift teams. - Training or experience in Lean, Six Sigma or operational excellence methods. - Experience transferring projects or equipment into routine production. - Coaching or people management experience with influencing beyond direct reports. About Worthing Manufacturing Site: Manufacturing at the Worthing site is for antibiotics (Penicillin). It is advised that you take this into consideration when deciding to apply for this position. GSK Worthing Site is a mixed manufacturing site with complex regulatory pressures. Manufacturing processes are highly technical and include high hazard activities.
