As a Senior Engineer on the Collaboration team, you will design and build the services that let creators work together, and increasingly, that let AI agents work alongside them. One of the areas is our flagship Team Create product, which enables creators to collaborate in real time with friends and coworkers. Just as important is the Creation Platform underneath it: the APIs and services that power external agents through MCP, along with Build on Roblox and other agentic products. You will be solving problems in scale, architecture, and design to build software that supports larger and better collaboration between teams of developers, artists, and the agents they bring into the loop. The ideal candidate has full-stack knowledge, experience on large-scale systems, enjoys solving complex software problems and has a passion for mentoring other engineers on the team. You Will: • Help and understand the needs of the community that uses our software, from beginning artists to professional scripters and designers. • Take ownership and responsibility for designing, building, testing, and deploying services within the Roblox ecosystem. • Own the Creation Platform that powers agentic products, including the APIs and services that agents reach through MCP. • Be a technical bar-raiser for high code quality, architectural designs, and long-term planning along with mentoring fellow engineers on the team. You Have • Experience architecting, designing and leading implementation of a wide array of software products • Experience supporting mission-critical applications at scale • Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, Python or similar programming languages • Familiarity with agentic systems, harnesses and models You Are: • An outstanding software engineer with 7+ years shipping high complexity code • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases at scale • You understand the components required to build modern large-scale infrastructure. You can recommend one route versus another and bring engineers to an agreement. • Comfortable designing platforms and APIs that other products, including AI agents, build on top of. Familiarity with MCP or similar agent tooling is a plus. For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
