About the role
Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing is hiring a motivated Facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager in Aurora, CO , on a government contract supporting mission‑essential facilities. The O&M Manager will ensure continuous, safe, and compliant facility operations by providing hands‑on leadership to multi‑trade maintenance teams, managing preventative maintenance and critical spares, executing maintenance policy, integrating new construction into the maintenance program, and communicating facility status to government stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: • Serve as the on-site Manager responsible for all facilities operations and maintenance activities across the site • Direct, supervise, mentor and develop multi-disciplinary O&M teams (24/7 operations) and ensure adequate staffing, scheduling, and response capability for site anomalies and emergencies • Oversee operation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of power generation systems, emergency power (if applicable), chilled water plants, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, switchgear, UPS, and other large-scale mechanical and electrical equipment • Manage preventative maintenance (PM) programs for critical and non-critical equipment to minimize mission interruptions; ensure timely execution, documentation, and continuous optimization of PM tasks • Integrate new construction projects into maintenance programs, developing testing/commissioning requirements, and coordinating site acceptance reviews • Manage critical spares inventory for mission-essential equipment: establish spares requirements, inventory controls, procurement justification, and readiness levels to prevent unplanned outages • Interpret, implement and enforce maintenance policies, procedures and contract requirements • Ensure compliance with safety policies, local codes and applicable regulations • Maintain and annually update maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination and collaboration with site engineering; implement SOP changes and train staff as needed • Integrate new construction, equipment upgrades and renovation projects into the O&M program; develop testing/commissioning requirements and coordinate site acceptance reviews (SATs) • Provide timely notification to designated Government Points of Contact (GPOCs) and Operations personnel regarding significant facility events. Prepare concise event summaries, document critical actions taken, remediation plans, and present briefs to site management and stakeholders • Maintain safety-focused culture: conduct regular safety meetings, risk assessments and corrective actions to ensure a safe workplace for all personnel • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility availability, PM compliance, corrective maintenance backlog, spare parts readiness and safety metrics • Support on-call rotations and after-hours coordination as required by contract; ability to work on-site and supervise in 24/7 rotations and emergency response as required Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • 5+ years of facilities operations experience • 3+ years’ supervisory experience in facilities operations • Experience operating and maintaining power generation, chilled water plants, and large-scale facilities equipment (e.g., switchgear, boilers, chillers, pumps, HVAC central plants, UPS). • Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and critical spares inventory for m
