A Day in the Life The Process Engineer I will support manufacturing operations within the PDBF (Polymer Development and Bulk Fabrication) organization at Medtronic's North Haven, CT site, including a chemical manufacturing environment focused on the production of polymer-based materials used in suture manufacturing. In this role, you will partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering teams to support the day-to-day performance of manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. As an early-career engineer, you will gain hands-on experience supporting process development, equipment implementation, troubleshooting, validation, and new product introduction activities within a highly collaborative manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced engineering professionals while building technical expertise in manufacturing operations, process optimization, and medical device production that ultimately supports life-changing therapies for patients around the world. We’re working 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.                     Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.   • Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.   • Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.   • Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.   • Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.   • Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.   • May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work.   • Leads the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.   • This can include scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling / fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs, outputs and alignment to requirements.   • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems.   • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.     Required Qualifications   • Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years relevant experience.     Preferred Qualifications   • Experience supporting manufacturing, process development, laboratory, or engineering projects through internships, co-ops, resea
