About the role

As ServiceNow becomes the AI control tower for enterprise workflows, transforming dense, data-heavy asset management into engaging, intuitive, and visually compelling product experiences is essential. We are looking for an M4 Design Leader who pairs rigorous product systems thinking with an unapologetic commitment to visual craft, aesthetic excellence, and dynamic data visualization. You will inspire, mentor, and manage a team of designers to turn complex operational datasets and AI lifecycle workflows into consumer-grade, engaging enterprise software.  What you get to do in this role:  • Oversee Portfolio & People Management: Guide and mentor a high-performing design team in Technology Workflows; recruit top-tier design talent, foster career growth, and establish a player-coach environment that values hands-on craft coaching alongside strategic alignment.  • Lead AI & Workflow Innovation: Change the way enterprise teams manage technology assets through design thinking, generative AI paradigms, and responsive interaction design across web and mobile surfaces.  • Elevate Visual Craft & Design Quality: Champion a culture of visual excellence and craft rigor across ITAM workflows. Ensure products move beyond utilitarian tables and forms into vibrant, engaging data visualizations, dynamic status tracking, and fluid workflow dashboards.  • Drive Strategic Partnerships: Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership from strategic vision, architecture, and road mapping through to pixel-accurate execution.  • Advance Platform Consistency: Partner directly with the ServiceNow Platform and Enablement team to evolve enterprise tokens, elevation models, dynamic motion curves, and next-generation data visualization patterns.  • Set the Bar for Design Deliverables: Direct your team through user journey mapping, information architecture, high-fidelity prototypes, state-transition choreographies, and polished behavior specifications. Preferred Qualifications:  • 4+ years of experience directly managing people and leading product design teams in complex software environments • 9+ years of total experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, and Visual Design. • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. • Experience integrating AI capabilities (assistants, streaming tokens, autonomous lifecycle remediation) into workflow experiences.  • Deep background in enterprise software domains (ITAM, Cloud Management, Observability, SecOps, or developer tooling).  • Demonstrated track record of delivering visually stunning, highly engaging UI and sophisticated data visualization solutions for data-intensive or technical platforms.  • High standard for typography, spatial composition, elevation, micro-interactions, and visual polish, with the ability to provide actionable critique on live design files.  • Inspiring portfolio demonstrating executive presence, design leadership, team mentorship, and the ability to elevate craft standards across an organization.  Basic Qualifications:  • BA/BS degree or higher in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent combination of education and experience in other related fields  • Experience
