About the role
We are looking for a Junior AI Automation Engineer who is passionate about technology, automation, Artificial Intelligence, and process improvement. The role will work across the department to identify repetitive, manual, and time-consuming workflows and transform them into automated, data-driven, and AI-enabled processes . You will work closely with engineering teams, project managers, technical leads, and department leadership to understand existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, develop automation solutions, and measure the business impact. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build practical experience in AI, automation, software engineering, data analytics, and digital transformation . Key Responsibilities 1. Process Discovery & Automation • Identify repetitive and manual workflows across engineering and management functions. • Understand existing processes by working directly with process owners and engineering teams. • Analyze processes and identify opportunities for simplification and automation. • Create process maps and automation proposals. • Prioritize automation opportunities based on business value, effort, frequency, and feasibility. 2. Develop Automation Solutions • Develop automation solutions using tools such as: • Microsoft Power Automate • Power Apps • Power BI • Python • APIs • Microsoft Teams / Microsoft 365 • GitHub • AI/LLM-based tools • Integrate data from multiple systems and automate repetitive reporting activities. • Develop scripts and utilities to eliminate manual engineering activities. • Automate data collection, transformation, analysis, reporting, and notifications. 3. AI & GenAI Applications • Explore practical applications of Generative AI within engineering and business workflows. • Develop AI-assisted solutions for: • Document summarization • Meeting/action-item processing • Report generation • Information extraction • Classification • Engineering data analysis • Knowledge retrieval • Issue/defect analysis • Evaluate emerging AI tools and identify opportunities to improve departmental productivity. 4. Dashboard & Data Automation • Automate collection and consolidation of project and engineering data. • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards. • Create automated KPI and management reports. • Support engineering teams with data analysis and visualization. • Ensure automated reports are accurate, reliable, and easy to maintain. 5. Continuous Improvement • Measure the impact of automation initiatives. • Track metrics such as: • Manual hours saved • Cycle-time reduction • Reduction in repetitive activities • Error reduction • Process adoption • Productivity improvement • Continuously identify additional opportunities for digitalization.
