About the role
Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team Stripe’s comms organization does more than the traditional: we produce films that get shown at festivals, sell over 300,000 books annually, run some of the fastest growing social media channels in tech, write talks and skits for external and internal events attended by thousands of people, build physical machines that track commerce in real-time, create podcasts in pubs, and much more besides. We believe in small, elite, high-taste teams and aim to run a tight operation. Comms Operations is a small, nimble team serving as the connective tissue between strategy and execution. Our mission is simple: we build and redefine the operating foundations that enable the most creative and ambitious storytelling in the world possible. This is not a traditional operations role, and we’re not looking to introduce heavy processes or to eliminate the unpredictability inherent in comms work. Instead, you’ll have a front-row seat in how the Communications team builds and protects Stripe’s brand and influence across the world – and play a pivotal part in designing the flywheel that compounds that impact. What you’ll do We’re looking for an exceptional and ambidextrous early-career operator to help us build and scale this infrastructure. You will work across every altitude, from co-designing high-level team planning mechanisms to managing the granular details of a complex project to ensure that it lands successfully. Some weeks, that might mean redesigning processes and building custom AI agents to handle repetitive workflows. Other weeks, it’s gaveling on the best lightning talks to feature during our onsite and pitching a mandatory jingle jam. Responsibilities • Team systems & infrastructure: Create processes, onboarding resources, and shared playbooks that help the team prioritize, track, and execute work effectively. • Workflow automation: Lead the transformation of the team’s critical administrative engines such as inbound media requests, speaking inquiries, and team communication channels and aliases. You’ll identify recurring patterns and build AI-enabled workflows and automations that make these processes faster, more reliable, and easier to scale. • Project and program management: Act as the embedded PgM for complex comms programs (e.g., Stripe Sessions, the Annual Letter) from planning through execution. Translate fast-moving initiatives into clear objectives, plans, milestones, and reporting. • Budget and resource management: Manage the team’s resourcing and budget management process including contracting, POs, payments, tracking and budget reporting. • Measurement and reporting: Build and maintain reporting systems and data dashboards that track communications impact, media coverage, and operational efficiency. Turn the data into clear insights that help the team make decisions. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements • 3-5 years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or an operating role supporting a senior leader or complex, cross-functional team • Proven systems thin
