About the role
About the Role We're looking for a Program Manager (m/f/d) to drive planning, delivery, and operational excellence across our engineering department. You will work with cross-functional programs, coordinating and building the operating rhythms that keep teams aligned, and turning technical progress into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership. What You'll Do • Own end-to-end program planning and delivery for the department, coordinating cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., hardware, electronics, software, controls, and test & validation). • Coordinate delivery milestones across teams , tracking cross-functional dependencies, surfacing and resolving blockers, and ensuring alignment at every program milestone. • Run the department's business review cadence , preparing and driving monthly reviews covering organizational goals — synthesizing technical progress, risks, and dependencies into executive-ready insights for senior leadership. • Build and maintain a single source of truth for all programs in Jira, establishing program frameworks, operating cadences, and visibility tools for cross-functional partners on bi-weekly and monthly cycles. • Develop and run a resource planning framework , leading regular reviews to align team capacity with evolving program requirements and technical workload. • Manage budget and OPEX tracking for the department, enabling data-driven monthly trade-off decisions in response to shifting priorities. What We're Looking For • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering operations, or a similar role within an engineering organization. • Proven track record coordinating cross-functional programs across multiple engineering disciplines and bringing rigor and structure to them. • Strong command of program management tools (Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint) and data/reporting tools. • Experience establishing operating cadences, business reviews (MBR/QBR), and single-source-of-truth systems from the ground up and roadmap. • Experience with resource/capacity planning and budget or OPEX tracking. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical topics into clear narratives for senior leadership. • Engineering background or degree strongly preferred; comfort navigating deeply technical discussions is essential. Nice to Have • Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or other multi-disciplinary engineering environments. • Experience supporting or reporting directly to department or executive leadership. • Familiarity with both agile (software) and waterfall (hardware) delivery methodologies.
