About the role
The Role You’ll work directly with the founders and take ownership of major parts of the product from idea to production. You will: • Build and ship core product experiences end-to-end across mobile, backend and data. • Turn ambiguous product problems and user needs into simple, pragmatic technical solutions. • Help define technical direction and make decisions around architecture, tools and frameworks. • Own features from initial idea through implementation, release and iteration. • Integrate external services and improve reliability and performance as the product grows. • Use AI development tools extensively to increase speed without lowering the bar for engineering quality. • Help establish the technical foundations and engineering standards we need as Treehouze grows. What We’re Looking For We care much more about what you have built and owned than titles, degrees or a specific number of years of experience. You could be a strong fit if you: • Have shipped real software products and owned meaningful projects end-to-end. • Are a strong generalist who can move comfortably across frontend, backend and product problems. • Have strong engineering fundamentals across APIs, databases and modern software architecture. • Think like a product engineer: you care about users and outcomes as much as the code itself. • Can translate ambiguity into technical decisions and move quickly without waiting for detailed specifications. • Make pragmatic trade-offs and know when something needs to be robust versus simply needs to work. • Use modern AI coding tools as part of your everyday workflow and understand their limitations. • Communicate clearly, challenge assumptions and take responsibility for the outcome. Experience with consumer or mobile products, early-stage startups, or having built something of your own is a strong plus. English fluency is required. German is useful, but not required.
