About the role
Job Title Klagenfurt EHS Officer (all genders) Job Description In this role, you will support the Klagenfurt EHS Leader in all EHS activities. The role will report directly to the EMEA Geography H&S Leader, with dotted-line reporting to the Klagenfurt EHS Leader and BP PH & HPM, who will serve as the primary contact for coordinating Klagenfurt EHS activities. Your role: • Support the Klagenfurt site with H&S activities in offices and production. • Promote the implementation of global H&S standards, goals, and programs at the Klagenfurt site. • Contribute to maintaining and improving Philips’ Health & Safety Management System, certified according to ISO 45001. • Contribute to maintaining and improving Philips’ Environmental Management System, certified according to ISO 14001. • Support the achievement of the objectives of the global occupational health and safety programme in Klagenfurt. • Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and Philips corporate safety standards. • Support risk assessments for machinery and workplace evaluations. • Support with chemical management (updating safety data sheets and entering them into Philips systems). • Assist in dealing with workplace accidents. • Support the preparation of training courses for employees. • Consult with the company nurse on health issues. • Prepare presentations on occupational safety and environmental management. You're the right fit if: Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety or Environment related subject and/or Graduate from a higher technical school or college in mechanical/industrial engineering. • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge and Auditor qualification preferred. • Practical Experience in Environment and Health and Safety. • > 5 years of related EHS-management experience better if in Medical Devices/Health Tech/Pharma companies • Legal compliance experience • Audit experience • H&S risk assessment skills • Experience of managing Safety and Environmental Programs • Experience of writing and maintaining EHS policies • AI experience Business-related skills: • EHS management experience. • Broad functional understanding of complex multinational organizations. • Team coordination. • Program management, including project management skills. • Digital expertise. • Fluent English skills. • Uses a wide range of experience, professional concepts, and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. The minimum annual salary according to the Austrian Collective Agreement is € 62,609.54 /gross with the willingness to overpay. The actual annual target salary is in line with the market and will be determined depending on your qualifications and experience.
