About the role

Senior Stationary Engineer Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Stationary Engineer to be based in Aurora, CO . The Stationary Engineer will ensure the safe, reliable operation, maintenance, and oversight of mechanical and utility systems that support government and mission‑critical facilities, with primary responsibility for chiller and generator plants as well as boilers, pumps, air‑handling units, and associated distribution systems. This role maintains continuous system readiness through preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting; directs contractor personnel in utility plants and equipment rooms; manages maintenance and distribution activities; and ensures compliance with government access, security, and program requirements.   Position Responsibilities: • Monitor, operate, and maintain chiller plants, chilled water distribution systems, and associated controls to ensure system availability and performance • Monitor, operate, and maintain generator plants, automatic transfer switches, and associated power distribution equipment to ensure uninterrupted backup power capability • Direct and lead personnel assigned to Utility Plants and Utility Rooms, including scheduling, task assignment, performance oversight, and quality assurance • Supervise and/or perform preventative and corrective maintenance on boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, compressors, piping, valves, and related mechanical and electrical systems • Coordinate and verify work scope, workmanship, and compliance with technical and safety standards; ensure timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for plant operations, tests, inspections, and maintenance activities • Perform system troubleshooting, faults isolation, and implement corrective actions to restore and optimize plant operations • Perform or oversee periodic testing of emergency generation systems, load bank testing, and transfer switch operation; document test results and corrective actions • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, safety procedures, and environmental regulations • Coordinate outage planning and communicate impacts to stakeholders; implement contingency plans to minimize mission disruption • Participate in capital project reviews, equipment replacement planning, and life-cycle cost assessments for utility systems • Support inventory control for critical spare parts and consumables required to sustain plant operations • Occasional schedule flexibility required to respond to emergency events or maintenance activities   Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Current Stationary Engineer license or certification issued by the State of Colorado • 10+ years’ experience operating and maintaining mechanical utility plants (chillers, boilers, generators, distribution systems) • Experience directing and leading facility maintenance teams • Experience working with emergency generator systems, transfer switches, and electrical distribution relevant to plant operations   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Additional certification(s) relevant to HVAC, electrical or power generation (e.g., NATE, EPA refrigerant handling certification, OSHA certifications) • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and DDC controls for chillers and plant equipment • Prior experience supporting government or mission-critical facilities with documented reliability performance • Experience with generator load bank testing and emergency power compliance testing • Stron
