About the role
Job Summary: The Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of operational analytics and reporting solutions. The role works with business stakeholders to understand defined information requirements, analyze data, and deliver accurate reporting and insights using approved business intelligence tools and established methodologies. The analyst will contribute to strategy and transformation initiatives through data analysis, reporting, process documentation, benefit tracking, and the identification of improvement opportunities. The role is expected to independently manage assigned deliverables while seeking guidance for complex, ambiguous, or cross-functional requirements. Role Responsibilities: • Gather, document, and validate business and reporting requirements with support from business and analytics stakeholders. • Develop and maintain small to medium reporting and analytics solutions using established tools, standards, and data sources. • Produce clear visualizations and analysis that help stakeholders understand trends, operational performance, and improvement opportunities. • Support strategy and transformation initiatives through data analysis, baseline measurement, progress tracking. • Perform data validation, reconciliation, testing, and documentation before releasing solutions. • Maintain existing BAU reporting while contributing to new analytics and transformation deliverables. • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate recurring reporting activities. • Communicate progress, risks, data limitations, and dependencies to the relevant project or business leads. • Follow established development, documentation, governance, and change-control processes. • Support the preparation of management presentations and decision-support materials. • Collaborate with senior analysts and business partners on assignments involving multiple data sources or unclear requirements. Solution Capability: • Design and devise solution for small to complex BI delivery projects, including identifying static (e.g. Excel/Access) and dynamic (e.g. SQL, Oracle) data sources, alignment to business requirements, gaps in available processes and data, best path forward to delivery BI/ analytics/ insights to business leveraging existing tools/ capabilities with sustainable solutions. • Comfortable building sustainable yet tactical solutions despite lack of enterprise solutions with offline and online data sources while working with technology for “end state” solutions • Proactively identify efficiency opportunities in existing business as usual reporting/ ad hoc reporting and implement automated solutions demonstrating time and productivity gains. Business: • • Knowledge/ prior experience of Operations, Health Insurance strongly preferred with demonstrated experience in driving operational metric reporting/MIS and improvements while working directly with internal and external customers • Ability to interpret data to understand key drivers for results and principal factors leading to the numbers and impact of a metric on other functions. Cross Functional: • • Knowledge/ prior experience of Operations, Health Insurance. • Senior leadership communication skills. • Adaptability, multitasking without impacting quality, ability to handle pressure, changing priorities. Qualifications: • • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred • 3+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics, operational reporting, or transformation support • undefinedMust have strong Qlikview, Qliksense, SQL, Excel, and Microsoft Access experience.
