This role contributes to the development of embedded and real-time software solutions for mission-critical applications, with responsibilities across software design, development, integration, and test. The position works closely with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test in a collaborative Agile environment. Our Beavercreek team is part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and offers a highly collaborative, small-team environment within a larger enterprise. This role works across integrated teams and disciplines to develop advanced technologies and products that support critical customer missions. Why This Role Is Exciting: • Mission-Driven Work: Help develop embedded software capabilities that support critical customer missions and operational needs • Hands-On Engineering: Contribute directly to the design, development, integration, debugging, and test of embedded and real-time software • Technical Development: Build experience across the software lifecycle while working on complex, mission-relevant engineering challenges • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test in an Agile environment • Broad Impact: Help shape software solutions that connect customer needs, system intent, and implementation across multidisciplinary programs These positions can be filled a the Engineer or Principal Engineer level: Basic Qualifications for Engineer Level (level 2): • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline with 2 years of experience; Master’s degree with 0 years of experience • Experience in C/C++ and/or Rust • Experience developing and debugging embedded real-time systems • US Citizenship is required • An active US Government Secret clearance • Ability to work full-time onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio Basic Qualifications for Principal Engineer Level (level 3): • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline with 5 years of experience; Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 0 years of experience • Experience in C/C++ and/or Rust • Experience developing and debugging embedded real-time systems • US Citizenship is required • An active US Government Secret clearance • Ability to work full-time onsite in Beavercreek, Ohio Preferred Qualifications for both Levels: • Experience developing software in Rust • Experience with Xilinx- based platforms and tools • Ex
