The Product Counsel team serves as the frontline legal contact and helps solve some of the company’s thorniest issues. As a member of the team, you’ll wear many hats and lead cross-functional projects with meaningful impact. The ideal candidate brings deep enthusiasm for innovative technology and the ability to collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams throughout the software development and commercialization lifecycle. This role requires drafting and negotiating the technology transactions that fuel our products, such as our AI inference offerings. Through this work, you will help evaluate novel legal questions and craft practical solutions at the frontier of law and technology. As a member of the Product Counsel team, you will also support privacy-by-design reviews, document data flows for responsible AI counseling, and partner with the commercial legal team to address complex customer inquiries. In this role, you will: • Translate complex legal analysis into clear, actionable guidance for fast-moving product and engineering teams. • Proactively assess legal risks and advise product, engineering and business teams building services that reshape how information moves across the Internet—and the laws that govern it. • Serve as a legal advisor to senior business leaders on the legal implications of product strategy. • Review and architect legal frameworks for technology transactions related agreements, such as, technology partner agreements, inbound IP licensing agreements, and marketplace arrangements for Cloudflare’s developer platform. • Review marketing event agreements and support Cloudflare’s team with promotions and sweepstakes. • Draft terms of service, disclosures, policies, and related processes. • Apply privacy-by-design principles and partner with the privacy team on data-flow reviews, PIAs, and other privacy deliverables. • Solicit invention disclosures, support patent strategy, and protect Cloudflare’s trade secrets. • Partner with product and marketing teams on product marketi
