Lead Director, Digital Product, Specialty Care and Partnerships – Medical Cost Initiatives  Location: Remote Department: Healthcare Technology & Product Management Reports To: Executive Director, Medical Cost Initiatives Role Overview As the Lead Director, Digital Product – Specialty Care and Partnerships, Medical Cost Initiatives , you will lead the technology product strategy and execution for specialty referrals and external partnerships to drive high quality care for patients cared for by CVS HCD business lines. Core areas of focus are ambulatory referrals, eConsults, curation of a referral network with cost, quality, and coverage data, and curating partnerships and establishing seamless integration with external partners to ensure our highest risk patients receive optimal care.  In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with clinical and business operational leaders to shape end-to-end technology pathways that support CVS Healthcare Delivery care models. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of product managers, Epic analysts, software engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to translate clinical vision into scalable technology roadmaps that optimize patient outcomes and lower the total cost of care. The ideal candidate must have expertise with value-based care models and Epic as a core care delivery platform. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership & Care Model Integration • Partner with healthcare delivery leadership to collaborate on end-to-end care models across specialty care and strategic care partnerships. • Serve as a strategic thought partner with CVS HCD business stakeholders as they define the "why" and the "what.’ Serve as the accountable party to ensure cross-functional technology teams deliver meaningful technology solutions to drive core business outcomes. • Establish shared outcome metrics with business leaders, ensuring all technology investments directly drive improved clinical quality, patient experience, and financial performance. Product & Technology Leadership • Lead multidisciplinary technology teams —including Product Managers, Epic Analysts, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers—to build seamless, end-to-end clinical technology pathways that reduce medical costs, while driving patient experience and outcomes. You will have direct leadership of a product team and matrixed leadership of technology partners. • Oversee the transformation of broad clinical ideas into rigorous problem statements, actionable product specifications, and seamless technology architecture within and beyond Epic. • Ensure smooth integration between external data sources (e.g., claims data, remote monitoring, health plan feeds) and internal Epic workflows to provide clinicians with real-time, actionable insights. Know when these integrations are needed and partner with technical team members to ensure effective execution that works well in clinical practice. • Lead the development of reporting to drive clinical care delivery, as well as generate actionable insights to drive continuous improvement. • Think outside the box to imagine and reimagine how technology driven solutions can improve the experience of clinical care delivery for patients and providers, as well as improve care outcomes.
