About the role
Test Procedure Development Engineer (Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a System Test Procedure Development Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our team in El Segundo, CA. As a Test Procedure Development Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that drives successful spacecraft delivery. You will architect, create, and maintain test procedures for state-of-the-art satellite systems supporting commercial and/or national security programs. These tests will evaluate the functionality and performance of each spacecraft subsystem to ensure customer requirements are met. You will work closely with Systems Engineering, unit REAs, the Special Test Equipment (STE) team, and program management to deliver high-quality products for the Systems Test team. You may also be required to support system test operations on the factory floor to assist with execution of critical test procedures and troubleshooting. Position Responsibilities: • Develop story board that defines test procedure architecture and methodology. • Create test procedure documentation based on released test requirements and story board. • Develop automated test scripts. • Validate test scripts against simulator, emulator, test bed, and/or test equipment. • Support the development of test phase procedures for system-level tests. • Maintain test documentation, version control, and configuration management of test scripts. • Support test setup, execution, data collection, analysis, and anomaly resolution during system-level tests. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. • 3+ years of experience in test procedure development, test execution, and test reporting • 3+ years of experience in the use of electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network analyzer, and oscilloscope • 3+ years of experience with programming in C#, C++ • Knowledge and skills in Python • Experience with space-based applications for electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 5+ years of experience with space-based applications for mechanical, electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems • 5+ years of hands-on experience in test engineering, test procedure development, or systems verification for spacecraft, avionics, electrical, or RF subsystems. • 5+ years of experience with programming in C#, C++, or Python • 3+ years of experience with space-based applications for electrical, RF, and/or digital subsystems Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
