About the role
Location: Oxford or London (Hybrid) The Mission: Why We Exist Genomics is a science-led transatlantic TechBio combining large-scale genetic and health data with proprietary analytics to accelerate drug discovery and advance predictive, preventative healthcare. We are united by a single vision to help people live longer, healthier lives, using the power of genomics. Genomics aims to help people live longer, healthier lives in two ways: super-charging drug discovery and development for novel treatments with our AI-enabled advanced genetic analytics platform, and by helping people understand their personal risk of common chronic diseases through polygenic risk scores - giving doctors and health systems the chance to get the right people into the right prevention, screening and treatment programmes at the right time. Role Purpose As Product Manager for Data and Analytics on Mystra, you'll be the bridge between ambition and execution, turning approved strategic initiatives into clear, scoped, buildable epics and features that engineers can run with and scientists can trust. You'll own the move from discovery to delivery. You'll set out the why and the what so that the delivery team start every piece of work with total clarity, and then stay close as the person they turn to when priorities collide. Because Mystra is a scientific data platform, "done" means more than shipped. It means scientifically valid, technically sound, and tested against the criteria that matter to expert users. A Day in the Life • Breaking down strategic initiatives into 2-4 well-scoped epics and features, with the reasoning behind every boundary written down • Pulling together user workflows, personas, edge cases, and constraints into a living "context document" your delivery team can rely on throughout execution • Working with Scientific SMEs to make sure requirements are scientifically sound, and with Data Services to understand ingestion capabilities and architectural constraints • Partnering with Engineering, Design, and User Research to check that what you're asking for is feasible, coherent, and grounded in real customer need • Running delivery kick-offs and bi-weekly check-ins, answering questions quickly, and making clear, well-reasoned prioritisation calls so the team keeps moving • Spotting recurring ambiguities and feeding them back to the Director of Product Management, so the next initiative starts sharper Who You Are • Fluency with genomic data is a must. You can read a GWAS paper, know what a p-value is telling you, think about effect sizes and population diversity, and recognise data and analytics needs of a statistical geneticist. • Experience in product management or product ownership. You will be involved in writing strong requirements, working across functions, and weighing trade-offs • The ability to define features with clear "done" criteria and to leave story-level detail to your delivery team • Decisiveness and an execution mindset. You make the call and keep the team moving without becoming a bottleneck • Clear, direct communication, written and spoken, with engineers, scientists, designers, and product leadership alike Your Package We are committed to providing a transparent, supportive, and rewarding work environment. Compensation & Growth • Competitive Reward: Salaries are externally benchmarked annually to ensure market-aligned compensation. • Clear Career Path: A straightforward, open progression framework means you'll always know the path to promotion and how to achieve your next career goal. • Continuous Learning: Including external courses and a wide library of L&D materials, because your growth is our success.
