About the role This is a key leadership role within our production operation, where you'll act as the lead Maintenance Engineer for your production line and play a critical part in driving performance, reliability and continuous improvement. Working as part of a close-knit line leadership team, you'll take ownership of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support operational performance. You'll lead preventative and corrective maintenance activities, develop and deliver maintenance plans, and use data and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. You'll also coach and support colleagues, champion engineering standards and work closely with Production, Technical and Engineering teams to achieve shared goals. We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent planning and leadership skills, and who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What’s in it for you? Here’s a flavour of what we offer: • Competitive annual salary • KP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions • 25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibility • Comprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme • KP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savings • Enhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life What will you be doing? • Leading maintenance planning and execution Take ownership of maintenance activities for your production line, ensuring preventative and corrective work is planned, prioritised and completed effectively • Driving equipment reliability and performance Review line performance, analyse incidents and equipment stops, and implement solutions that improve reliability and reduce downtime • Managing maintenance schedules and work orders Develop weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans, ensuring work orders are appropriately prioritised, tracked and completed • Championing engineering excellence Maintain technical documentation, support compliance with engineering standards and promote best practice across the operation • Coaching and collaborating with others Work closely with Production, Technical and Engineering colleagues while supporting the development and capability of the wider maintenance team We’d love to hear from you if you can bring: • Strong engineering qualifications and technical expertise • NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical, electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering discipline, alongside an 18th Edition qualification. • Proven maintenance and fault-finding experience Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment • Knowledge of automation and continuous improvement Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and Lean manufacturi
