About the role

NVIDIA is now seeking a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager to join our Global Corporate Indirect Procurement team, headquartered in Santa Clara, CA to support growth in NVIDIA’s Real Estate and Data Center portfolio. This position will lead procurement efforts and supplier relationships for Real Estate and Data Center Construction critical to the success of the company, focusing on delivering optimal solutions, driving cost savings and improving overall commercial terms. Responsibilities for this position include tenant improvement and ground-up construction for US and international construction sourcing projects. What you’ll be doing: • Work with the key internal partners (Project Management, Legal, Finance and Engineering) to assess opportunities for and accomplish cost savings/improved contract terms. • Support the objectives of the Real Estate and DC MEP Engineering & Construction teams to achieve the overall mission of Nvidia. • For each spend category lead efforts to develop/be responsible for a category plan, perform market research to identify viable suppliers and establish a scalable supply base to support NVIDIA’s anticipated growth. • Lead sourcing activities, including RFXs and negotiate construction-related contracts (e.g. general contractors, MEP design-build, engineering, architects, development managers and cost consultants). • Implement sourcing process project management from start to end, including regular status updates to internal partners. • Deliver results with a strong commitment to quality, ethics, and customer-focused delivery model. • Identify areas for process/toolset improvement and develop/implement strategic plans to increase efficiency and productivity and supervise performance to ensure objectives are being met. What we need to see: • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. • 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale capital expenditure (CapEx) construction programs in a fast-paced environment. • Proven ability to work effectively with various collaborators to meet demanding project schedules and lead negotiation teams for complex construction and development contracts. • Expert in procurement for Real Estate Construction contracts, focusing on Design-Build and Cost + Fixed Fee % with GMP. • Skilled negotiator able to achieve favorable contractual terms and market competitive commercial rates. • Experience in qualifying and developing a supply base of qualified construction contractors in partnership with internal business partners. • Business acumen to make informed decisions in an environment of incomplete data and quickly changing plans and priorities. • Experience with project management and procurement tools (e.g. e-RFx, Contract Lifecycle Management) in the completion of sourcing projects. • Excellent communication skills giving presentations to senior management. • Experience in managing large-scale, complex construction procurement projects, preferably within a global organization or supporting multi-national collaborators. Ways to stand out from the crowd: • Master’s or other advanced degree • Expert contract negotiation skills • Experience with Colo and CSP agreements is highly desirable. • Detailed technical and supply base knowledge of latest rack cooling systems
