About the Opportunity We are currently recruiting an Administrative Coordinator in Gaithersburg, MD to provide direct support to the US Medical Head, Breast Cancer , within our Oncology Business Unit. Key Responsibilities • Executive Calendar Management : Manage a highly complex executive calendar, scheduling meetings, conference calls, and special events while exercising discretion on priorities and decision-making. • Administrative & Project Support : Provide exceptional and broad administrative, coordination, and project support to the US Medical Head and extended team. • Team Collaboration & Back-Up : Serve as an active member of the administrative support community, providing back-up coverage, training, and contributing to the ongoing development of shared best practices. • Travel, Expenses & Correspondence : Handle mail disposition, multi-location domestic and international travel arrangements, and time/expense reports with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely follow-through. • Informed Deputy : Act as an informed deputy with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the supervisor, interacting professionally with high-level VIPs and external visitors. • Document Production : Produce accurate, properly formatted documents, PowerPoint presentations , and reports under tight deadlines. • Communications : Prepare and edit correspondence and general communications for leadership review. • AstraZeneca Systems : Apply working knowledge of AstraZeneca processes and systems to streamline execution. • Leadership Team Support : Manage and coordinate agendas and pre-reads for the Medical Affairs Leadership Team (LT) , support off-site planning and execution, and coordinate National Meetings in partnership with event planning — including All Hands, ONX, and congress coordination. • Special Projects : Effectively manage special projects and other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements • High School diploma or GED • At least 5 years of demonstrated high-level administrative support experience, including supporting senior leaders • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with executives and employees at all levels • Proven ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and manage competing deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills The annual base pay for this position ranges from $67,952 - $101,928 USD Annual. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
