Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One. Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Software Engineer (Multiple openings) in Philadelphia, PA. The Software Engineer is responsible for building the credit card APIs and will be involved in the technical details of building highly available and reliable services, while also working with product teams to build new capabilities for U.S. Bank Above the Glass applications. In addition, the Software Engineer will focus on technological solution delivery by guiding and inspiring strong coding practices and solid software design decisions among their team. Specific duties include the following: 1) participate in development, enhancement, deployment, and support activities, including offshore coordination for seamless project execution; 2) work with Microservice Architecture, Sprint Planning, code development, enhancements, deployment and production issue fixes 3) design and develop multiple Spring Boot microservices with RESTful APIs, handling end-to-end development, testing, and deployment; 4) work with API integration, GraphQL and Apollo Gateway integration; 5) implement real-time data streaming and analytics solutions using Kafka as well as working in Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD automation; 6) participate in the full software development lifecycle using agile methods, following scrum ceremonies and practices; 7) deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters using Rancher, and implement real-time data streaming and analytics solutions using Kafka; 8) utilize various IDEs and tools including Intellij, Visualstudio, sharepoint, Jira, service now to develop and manage applications; and 9) work with several databases including Postgres, DB2 writing complex sql queries using joins and other functions to retrieve data.   Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) of experience working with Microservice Architecture, Sprint Planning, code development, enhancements, deployment and production issue fixes.   Required Skills/Experience: Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) designing and developing multiple Spring Boot microservices with RESTful APIs, handling end-to-end development, testing, and deployment; (2) working with API integration, GraphQL and Apollo Gateway integration; (3) implementing real-time data streaming and analytics solutions using Kafka as well as working in Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD automation; (4) participating in the full software development lifecycle using agile methods, following scrum ceremonies and practices; and (5) deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters using Rancher, and implementing real-time data streaming and analytics solutions using Kafka. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
