About the role
The Opportunity Adobe's Growth Marketing & Insights (GMI) organization is in the middle of a ground-up reinvention of how marketing teams operate. We're no longer adding AI tools to the margins—we're rebuilding workflows from first principles, with agentic AI at the center. The Forward Deployed AI Engineer role exists to make that happen. As a member of the AI Strategy & Innovation (AISI) team, you'll be embedded with our marketing analytics and data science teams, working alongside them, learning their craft, and building tools and automations that transform the way they operate. You are both a builder and a partner who can rapidly prototype solutions and take immediate feedback to improve them. You'll also be part of the connective tissue across the AISI team. You'll share what you build, incorporate what others have built into your own work, and help to establish the playbooks and patterns that scale good ideas across all of GMI. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with marketers across every function and measure ourselves by this question: did we improve the way that someone works? Who you are You have a deep knowledge of market dynamics, consumer behaviors, marketing analytics -- including measurement strategy, media experimentation, segmentation, forecasting, and performance insights, and strong opinions on how AI can transform it. You are a pattern finder and a dot connector -- in terms of understanding how qualitative insights can complement analytics and data science models. You know all about data pipelines, business metrics, attribution, incrementality, audience strategy, and insight generation, and when someone walks you through their workflow, you immediately see where AI can help. You derive fulfillment from seeing your insights in action and shaping the strategy of the business – with AI as a multiplying force. You are impatient to drive impact – for short term pivots and long-term thinking. You have working fluency across growth channels—search, social, LLM, and emerging platforms—and the ability to synthesize performance data into holistic channel strategy and media recommendations. You are a natural systems thinker who connects channels, funnel dynamics, content strategy, and commercial outcomes into one coherent picture rather than optimizing functions in isolation. Genuine excitement about what AI can do right now and what it will do next. You're pulled toward new AI developments, not just keeping up with them. When a new capability surfaces, your first instinct is to get your hands on it. You have opinions about what's useful, and what's just hype, because you've tested enough of it to know the difference. Minimum requirements • 5+ years of technical experience and 2+ years building and deploying AI applications • Expertise in AI development platforms and tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, agent frameworks, API integrations, Azure, AWS, etc.) • Direct experience working with marketing analytics, product analytics, or consumer insights teams, with a clear understanding of how analytical questions are framed, data is prepared, models are built, insights are generated, and recommendations are operationalized • Understanding of customer journeys across organic and paid channels (i.e. search, social, LLM, SEO) to drive marketing recommendations • Expertise in Python, SQL, and at least one other common language • Hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, automations, or agentic systems that change how real work gets done • Demonstrated ability to coach or enable others, with evidence that people you worked with changed their behavior as a result • Strong communication skills with the ability to make technical ideas feel accessible to non-technical audiences • Ability to manage multiple relati
