A Day in the Life The Supplier Quality function partners with external suppliers to ensure purchased materials, components, and services meet quality, regulatory, and business requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This team drives supplier qualification, process validation, risk management, and continuous improvement activities to support product quality and business objectives across advanced manufacturing technologies. This position is based onsite in Memphis, Tennessee. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams and includes up to 25% travel to supplier and business locations.                     The Supplier Quality function partners with external suppliers to ensure purchased materials, components, and services meet quality, regulatory, and business requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This role provides specialized Supplier Quality Engineering expertise in additive manufacturing (AM), supporting supplier qualification, process validation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement activities for advanced manufacturing technologies. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert for additive manufacturing supplier quality. You will support supplier selection, qualification, validation, and performance management activities while helping ensure additive manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and controls meet quality and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify risks, drive process improvements, and support the delivery of high-quality products and components. Primary Responsibilities • Assess and qualify additive manufacturing suppliers through technical evaluations, process reviews, and quality system assessments. • Lead supplier audits and oversight activities to verify compliance with quality requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable industry standards. • Evaluate additive manufacturing process capability, validation strategies, and manufacturing controls to ensure consistent product quality. • Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), supplier qualification, and validation activities for new and existing suppliers. • Investigate supplier quality issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness of improvements. • Partner with New Product Development, Component Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams to support supplier engagement throughout the product lifecycle. • Develop and implement risk-based supplier quality strategies for additive manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies. • Define receiving inspection requirements, test methods, and quality controls to support product acceptance and supplier performance objectives. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 0 years of relevant experience. • 2+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related quality-focused role supporting regulated manufacturing environments.
