As a Service Centre Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing and maintaining company products within the service centre. You will use established procedures, technical documentation and diagnostic tools to identify faults and ensure repaired products meet the required quality and performance standards. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned : • Perform in-house servicing and repair of company products within the Service Centre • Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and system failures using established procedures and technical documentation • Troubleshoot faults using schematics, diagrams, specifications and other technical information • Perform testing, maintenance and calibration of repaired products to ensure they meet required standards • Accurately document repairs, test results, product failures and other relevant technical information • Prepare reports and contribute to the analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues • Collaborate with field-based technicians and internal teams to obtain and share technical information supporting diagnosis and repair • Identify and highlight recurring technical issues and opportunities to improve repair and service processes. Required Knowledge and Experience: • 1+ year of relevant technical experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing or a similar technical environment • Practical experience diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electronic, hardware, software or system-related issues • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics and diagrams • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting • Ability to accurately follow established procedures and document technical work and test results • Good communication and teamwork skills, particularly when exchanging technical information with colleagues • Ability to work independently under moderate supervision and make appropriate technical decisions within established procedures • Technical/vocational qualification, training or certification is an advantage; no specific minimum education requirement.
