U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using  ReactJS, TypeScript, Java 17, and SpringBoot. • Build responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible user interfaces following modern UI/UX best practices. • Develop and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services  to support enterprise applications. • Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD and Spring Security. • Design, optimize, and maintain databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. • Develop, deploy, and  support cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS platforms. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and support containerized applications using GitLab, Jenkins and Docker. • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions, participate in code reviews, and support production troubleshooting. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of relevant experience Required Skills/Experience: • Hands-on software engineering experience building enterprise-grade full-stack applications. • Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap. • Hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Security, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture. Strong database development skills with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and SQL optimization. Preferred Skills/Experience: • Experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure; exposure to AWS preferred. • Knowledge of Azure AD, OAuth2, JWT, application security, and secure coding best practices. • Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Maven , and modern DevOps practices. • Familiarity with agile /Scrum methodologies, automated testing (Junit, Mockito, Jest, Playwrite, Cypress), and SDLC best practices.
