Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Security Product Line Manager (PLM) to drive the security strategy, cybersecurity compliance posture for a portfolio of networking products including routers, switches, firewalls, and network management solutions. The Security PLM will serve as the business owner for product security initiatives, partnering across Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, Program Management, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and market-access requirements. The role spans Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL), security-by-design practices, vulnerability governance, and emerging cybersecurity regulations. In a typical day as a Principal Product Manager- Certifications PLM, you would... Product Security Strategy • Define and maintain the product security roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer requirements. • Drive adoption of security-by-design principles across all phases of product development. • Influence product requirements to address evolving cybersecurity threats and market expectations. • Prioritize security investments based on risk, customer demand, and regulatory requirements. Secure Development Lifecycle Governance • Champion SDL processes and security gates throughout product development. • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive: • • SAST • SCA • SBOM generation • Code signing • Threat modelling • Vulnerability remediation • Monitor security metrics, compliance dashboards, and readiness reviews. • Escalate risks and drive corrective actions when security commitments are at risk. Cross-Functional Leadership • Lead security readiness reviews with engineering, architecture, and executive stakeholders. • Drive alignment among Product Management, Engineering, Security, Program Management, and Compliance teams. • Define ownership models, RACI structures, and execution plans for security initiatives. • Represent product security status at leadership reviews and customer engagements. Vulnerability & Risk Management • Assess product security risks and establish mitigation strategies. • Partner with Product Security Office and engineering organizations to prioritize vulnerability remediation. • Track remediation commitments and ensure compliance with vulnerability response requirements. • Support incident response and coordinated vulnerability disclosure activities when necessary. Customer & Market Engagement • Act as the product security subject-matter expert for customers, partners, and government stakeholders. • Communicate security capabilities and compliance roadmaps. • Support sales, federal programs, and strategic customer opportunities requiring security assurance artifacts.
