About the role
This is a full-time onsite role based in the location(s) posted and is performed from the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered. Overall Purpose: Manage sales capacity strategy and workforce planning, including seller capacity models, coverage planning, role architecture, and workforce investment recommendations; align sales resources with market opportunities and business growth objectives to improve customer coverage, seller productivity, and organizational efficiency. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Strategic Capacity and Workforce Planning: Develop short- and long-term workforce plans, capacity requirements, coverage ratios, and staffing strategies aligned with revenue growth, productivity, customer coverage, and cost-efficiency objectives. • Workforce Forecasting and Scenario Modeling: Build forecasting models incorporating revenue targets, productivity assumptions, attrition, hiring plans, and market opportunities; conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to guide resource allocation and investment decisions. • Role Architecture and Coverage Design: Define seller personas, role responsibilities, engagement models, productivity assumptions, and workload standards; design coverage and territory structures that align resources with customer potential and market opportunity. • Performance Analysis and Executive Insights: Analyze attainment, productivity, utilization, customer coverage, and workforce investment returns; translate findings into executive recommendations that improve staffing, seller effectiveness, and sales performance. • Cross-Functional Leadership and Governance: Partner with Sales Leadership, Finance, HR, Transformation, and Sales Operations to align workforce assumptions, establish capacity-planning governance, support organizational change, and influence strategic workforce decisions. Job Contribution: An experienced professional recognized as an expert in sales capacity strategy and workforce planning, creatively resolving complex business and resource-allocation issues through advanced analytics and strategic judgment. Leads significant planning initiatives with substantial autonomy, develops long-term workforce and coverage strategies, and influences executive decisions regarding staffing, investment, role design, and organizational effectiveness. Collaborates extensively with senior leadership and provides guidance to less experienced professionals. Supervisor: No Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Analytics, or a related field desired; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of related experience in workforce planning, sales strategy, sales operations, finance, management consulting, or business planning. Experience developing capacity models, coverage plans, resource-allocation frameworks, and analytics-driven executive recommendations preferred.
