The DeFi Borrow team within the Consumer & Business group empowers millions of customers to unlock liquidity from their crypto assets directly inside the Coinbase Consumer app. You'll own the end-to-end product experience for crypto-backed borrowing, bridging Coinbase's centralized platform with premier onchain lending protocols to deliver simple, secure, and scalable loan flows. In this role you'll define the next generation of onchain credit products, giving customers the power to access the funds they need without selling their investments. What you'll do: • Own the DeFi Borrow product area end-to-end, from vision and strategy through execution, launch, and ongoing iteration across web and mobile. • Drive the multi-year roadmap for crypto-backed loans, spanning initial borrow flows, advanced loan management, refinancing, and new product surfaces. • Define OKRs across workstreams (loan origination, positions management, liquidation, observability) and lead cross-functional teams to deliver against them. • Partner with Engineering to ship resilient, scalable borrowing experiences, balancing speed, safety, and reliability across core loan workflows, state tracking, and liquidation monitoring. • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure products meet regulatory and controls expectations while preserving an excellent customer experience. • Build operational rigor through launch runbooks, on-call preparedness, degraded-UI strategies, and incident playbooks that keep DeFi Borrow reliable during market volatility. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping consumer or prosumer financial products at scale, including at least one lending, credit, or collateralized product (e.g., margin, secured loans, DeFi borrowing). • Demonstrated ability to define and drive multi-quarter strategy, translate it into roadmaps and experiments, and deliver measurable results against growth and portfolio-health goals. • Familiarity with onchain concepts, smart contracts, and DeFi lending protocols (e.g., Morpho, Aave, Compound) sufficient to partner effectively with engineers on integrations and loan workflows. • Proven track record of using quantitative analysis (funnels, cohort behavior, risk/return tradeoffs) to inform product decisions and simplify complex financial concepts into clear, trustworthy consumer experiences. • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
