About the role
GCL: C3/D1 Introduction to role: Ready to own and elevate the global platforms that keep our people safe and our science moving. This role puts you at the heart of how we demonstrate compliance with safety, health and environment requirements across our worldwide footprint, enabling our sites to operate with confidence and pace. As the single point of accountability for two global SHE platforms, you will set strategy, lead governance, and drive user adoption at scale. The primary platform supports global legislation monitoring, legal registers, and compliance management through a SaaS solution used by 70+ sites and 500+ users; the secondary platform supports related SHE processes and activities. You will shape how both platforms evolve, including introducing AI-enabled capabilities in line with our principles. Do you thrive in dynamic, vendor-managed SaaS environments where rigorous governance must move as fast as the business? If you can turn complex regulatory and technical requirements into simple, reliable operations for a global user community, this is your next step. Accountabilities: • Business System Ownership and Governance: Serve as Business System Owner for two global SHE platforms, keeping each compliant, effective, and fit for purpose; lead lifecycle, risks, audits, periodic reviews, and maintain clear governance documentation and standards. • Compliance and Regulatory Leadership: Be responsible for legal register and regulatory monitoring where applicable; lead quarterly updates to SHE legislation and framework requirements; track compliance metrics across sites and prepare the organization for internal and external audits with accurate reporting. • Supplier and Service Management: Own relationships with SaaS vendors; run supplier governance, performance reviews, and issue resolution; supervise SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations to ensure reliability, value, and continuous service improvement. • Global User Adoption and Training: Govern user access, roles, and the site administrator network; onboard new sites and users; maintain training materials, guidance, and SOPs; build engagement and drive adoption across a distributed global community. • Data and AI Governance: Safeguard data quality, integrity, and access controls; implement and govern AI-enabled capabilities (such as compliance assistants) aligned with Responsible AI principles; partner with IT and Legal on data privacy and information security. • Continuous Improvement and Roadmap: Own and evolve the roadmap for each platform; gather, prioritize, and deliver enhancements; streamline processes and improve user experience; introduce new capabilities that reduce effort and raise compliance confidence. • Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Produce governance and KPI reporting; monitor system usage, compliance rates, and update completion; provide regular, actionable insights to leadership and collaborators. Success looks like conscientious system availability and supplier performance, rising global user adoption and engagement, on-time and framework updates, audit outcomes, accurate compliance reporting, and transparent delivery of the platform roadmaps. Essential Skills/Experience: • 5+ years in system or application ownership. • Demonstrable experience in compliance, governance, or risk management. • Vendor / supplier management in a SaaS environment. • Strong stakeholder management across global, multi-functional teams. • Experience in process improvement and change delivery. • Training and communication across distributed user communities. • Reporting and data analysis capability.
