About the role
Hardware Technician (Mid-Level or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is seeking a Hardware Technician (Mid-Level or Senior) to support the Government Training Engineering team in Oklahoma City, OK . The selected candidate will support hardware build, integration, installation, and checkout activities for training systems and customer deliverables. This role requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and work instructions, and to perform tasks in accordance with Boeing policies, procedures, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to resolve technical questions, support build and integration efforts, and help drive improvements in product designs and technical processes. This position will support multiple platforms and programs, which may include the E-7 Airborne Early Warning and Control, KC-46 Tankers, E-3 AWACS, and B-52 Bombers. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team supporting hardware build, checkout, installation, and integration activities in a fast-paced engineering and production environment. The selected candidate must also have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Position Responsibilities: • Support hardware build, integration, installation, and checkout activities for training systems and customer deliverables • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, work instructions, and technical documentation to complete assigned tasks • Perform detailed inspections of hardware, components, and assemblies to verify conformance to requirements prior to installation or checkout • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to resolve technical questions and support build execution • Follow Boeing policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant execution of tasks • Support integration of hardware, components, and assemblies across multiple platforms and programs • Assist in identifying build issues, documenting findings, and communicating concerns to appropriate engineering or manufacturing personnel • Provide feedback to engineering teams to help drive improvements in designs, processes, and technical execution • Support workflow in a team environment while working with minimal supervision • May assist with checkout, installation, and other technician tasks as needed to meet program objectives Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • 3+ years of experience as a mechanical technician or an electrical technician • 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications • 3+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing engineering, design engineering & PLM tools Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.) • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or military training systems • Experience with hardware integration, modification, repair, or installation • Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues • Experience supporting build or production environments • Familiarity with Boeing standards, processes, and quality systems • Experience identifying and communicating design or process improvements • Experience working in a team environment with technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel • Experience using standard computer tools for documentation, reporting, or work tracking Conflict Of Interest: Successful Candidates for this job must satisfy
