A Day in the Life Medtronic’s Rice Creek, MN location is looking for a Technician II that will be responsible for supporting the service and repair of Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health divisions with opportunities to work on additional products.                     This position performs a variety of tasks including, diagnosing, and reporting product findings, troubleshooting, parts management, repair, packaging, data gathering, leading lean manufacturing improvements, assessing inventory and prioritization of daily work, presenting to management and engineering, and utilizing ERP and QMS systems.   Work Environment & Schedule   • Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM  • Hands-on, active role (standing, walking, lifting, packaging, moving between stations)  Compensation:   • $27 / hourly + 5% annual bonus target  • 4 weeks paid time off per year  • 10 paid holidays per year  • 401(k) with up to 6% match  • Comprehensive benefits plan, including medical, dental, vision, and more  • Fully subsidized Bachelors degree programs paid up front , and many other paid training opportunities!  • Paid family, medical, and parental leave after 1 year of employment  • Many more benefits to choose from!  Key Responsibilities: • Performs a variety of duties on electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical devices. • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. • Some experience with cycle counting and inventory management. • Ability to take initiative and be self-managed. • Ability to implement countermeasures to work through technical roadblocks. Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent, plus two years relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: • Diverse background to work in multiple workstreams. • Aptitude for quickly learning and assimilating a broad array of information • Experience in medical product manufacturing / assembly operations • Experience working in FDA & ISO 13485 regulated industry • Associate degree or technical certificate in relevant field • Experience working in a regulated industry • Knowledge of navigating quality systems • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes • Experience with ERP system such as SAP or Oracle • Mechanical and electrical print reading skills for use in diagnosing and correcting equipment/tooling issues • Strong technical writing skills • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel) For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
