Job Details: Job Description: Join Intel's dynamic Yield Development Engineering team, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing semiconductor technology. As a Yield Development Engineer, you will identify root cause yield and reliability limiters, perform failure analysis, and develop methodologies to enhance process development to achieve yield and reliability milestones. You will work on cutting-edge analytical technologies, driving impactful changes in defect reduction, yield and reliability improvement, and process optimization. Your contributions will directly influence Intel's ability to deliver high-performance products to the market. Business group: Intel Foundry is at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, delivering world-class manufacturing technologies to meet the demands of tomorrow's computing solutions. As part of this organization, you will collaborate across functions to ensure continuous improvement in quality, yield, and reliability, supporting Intel's vision of enabling global progress through technology. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement methodologies for defect-mode understanding and yield and reliability modeling. • Analyze manufacturing and experimental data to identify anomalies and drive process changes. • Collaborate cross-functionally to debug yield limiters in design, test, and process development. • Develop analytical tools and techniques, algorithms, and systems for failure analysis and defect detection. • Maintain critical analytical tools operating and support specific tasks and services related to those tools and techniques. • Conduct fault isolation and failure analysis using electrical, optical, and simulation tools. • Ensure manufacturability through analysis of process and product design intersections. • Support new product introductions and design-technology co-optimization initiatives. Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship Experience listed below would be obtained through schoolwork and/or classes and/or project work and/or internships and/or military training and/or work experience. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Solid-State Physics, or related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience. • Experience mentioned above should be a combination of the following areas: • Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools, such as JMP or Python, and coding techniques. • Experience with semiconductor process development and defect-mode analysis. • Fundamental understanding and hands-on expertise with fault isolation and failure analysis tools (e.g., IRLC, CSAM, SEM, TDR testing, curve tracing). Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques (e.g., IRLC, 2D and 3D X-rays, Acoustic Imaging, SEM). • Experience with electrical fault isolation methods (e.g., EOTPR, TDR, ELITE). • Experience with sample prep methods and tools (e.g., Laser Milling, Ion Milling, Mechanical Polishing).
