Job Details: Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Software Enabling and Optimization Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, validating, and optimizing software components for Intel Open Edge platforms (OEP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable cutting-edge robotics and AI applications on ODM platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance on Intel Architecture systems. Your expertise will contribute to delivering reliable, high-performance computing solutions that advance Intel's competitive edge. Business group The Software and Solutions Group focuses on driving technological innovation across diverse domains, such as AI, cloud, edge computing, and high-performance computing. By delivering software tools and optimizations that maximize Intel product capabilities, the group fosters adoption and differentiation within the ecosystem. Joining this team means contributing to Intel's mission of enabling breakthrough solutions for next-generation technologies. Key Responsibilities • Deploy and debug issues with OEP software components to ensure seamless functionality on Intel architecture systems. • Design, develop, and optimize AI applications such as robotics AI, generative AI, and visual analytics to showcase Intel Edge Platform capabilities. • Enable edge customers by providing sample codes, technical documentation, installation guidance, and demos for OEP components. • Troubleshoot and resolve software installation issues, primarily within Linux environments. • Provide technical guidance to optimize AI pipelines for efficient execution across Intel platforms including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs. • Support customers across the Asia-Pacific region, delivering high-quality service and solutions. • Analyze AI application benchmark reports and provide comparative insights to highlight Intel's competitive advantages. • Address real-time processing requirements for robotics and physical AI applications. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in computer science or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD in computer science or a related field with no prior professional experience. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and shell scripting. • Hands-on experience troubleshooting in Linux environments. • Strong understanding of AI tools and domains, including OpenCV, GStreamer, ROS programming, and physical AI applications. • Experience with version control systems and open-source platforms such as Git and GitHub. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with Intel software components like OpenVINO and DL Streamer. • Knowledge of AI benchmarking activities and interpreting benchmark reports for competitive analysis. • Understanding of real-time protocols such as RTSP, TCC, and TSN for robotics applications. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Proactive communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
