We are seeking a Medical Specialist, Ophthalmology to join our Retina team, supporting the Tennessee, Alabama, Pensacola to Tallahassee, FL territory in a field-based role. In this position, you will help bring innovative retinal therapies to healthcare providers, build trusted partnerships with retina specialists and ophthalmology practices, and drive business results that improve patient outcomes. Working closely with customers and cross-functional partners, you will play a critical role in expanding access to life-changing treatments while contributing to a purpose-driven organization dedicated to advancing science and patient care. When & where: • Location: Tennessee, Alabama, Pensacola to Tallahassee, FL • Work model/flexibility: Field-based • Travel percentage: Approximately 40-60% Discover your role: • Develop and grow strategic relationships with retina specialists, ophthalmologists, and key customer accounts throughout the territory. • Execute territory business plans to achieve sales objectives and support the growth of Regeneron’s ophthalmology portfolio. • Educate healthcare providers on clinical data, product benefits, patient identification, and treatment pathways. • Partner with customers to identify opportunities that enhance patient access and improve treatment outcomes. • Navigate complex account environments using strong business acumen and strategic account management skills. • Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer needs and deliver valuable solutions that support practice success. • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and territory dynamics to inform business planning and prioritization. • Manage a geographically dispersed territory while balancing customer engagement, business objectives, and travel requirements. • Maintain expertise in the ophthalmology and retina landscape, including competitive, reimbursement, and market developments. This role requires: • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of specialty sales experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. • Demonstrated history of high sales performance and consistent achievement of territory goals and business objectives. • Experience selling biologics and buy-and-bill products within specialty healthcare settings. • Strong understanding of reimbursement programs, government programs, managed care, formulary processes, and contract negotiations. • Ophthalmology sales experience preferred, with retina-focused experience strongly preferred. • Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with physicians, retina specialists, and other key customer stakeholders. • Strong business acumen, account management capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex customer and market dynamics. • Excellent communication, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Must reside within or near the assigned Tennessee, Alabama, Pensacola to Tallahassee, FL territory; relocation assistance is not provided. • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40-60% of the time in support of customer and business needs.
