Canada has no single salary bar: the employer usually needs a positive LMIA. Pay at or above the provincial median wage + 20% (e.g. C$36.92/h in Ontario) puts it in the high-wage stream. Canada: Express Entry no longer awards ranking points for job offers (since 25 Mar 2025); a job offer still counts toward Federal Skilled Worker eligibility.

About the role

At AstraZeneca, we pride ourselves on crafting a collaborative culture that champions knowledge-sharing, ambitious thinking and innovation – ultimately providing employees with the opportunity to work across teams, functions and even the globe.    Recognizing the importance of individualized flexibility, our ways of working allow employees to balance personal and work commitments while ensuring we continue to create a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork by engaging face-to-face in our offices 3 days a week. Our head office and BlueSky Hub in downtown Toronto are purposely designed with collaboration in mind, providing space where teams can come together to strategize, brainstorm and connect on key projects.    Our dedication to sustainability is also central to our culture and part of what makes AstraZeneca a great place to work. We know the health of people, the planet and our business are interconnected, which is why we’re taking ambitious action to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to access to healthcare and disease prevention.  Introduction to the role: We are looking for a motivated and curious university student to join our team as an AI Business Support Specialist Intern. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting artificial intelligence projects and to learn how AI solutions move from development and testing through implementation and adoption. Working alongside experienced team members, you will support activities related to project coordination, solution testing, user acceptance testing, training materials, documentation, and stakeholder communication. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of teams, which may include data scientists, developers, project managers, business partners, subject matter experts, and end users. This role is ideal for a student who is interested in the intersection of AI, technology, business, and project management. You do not need to be an AI developer or machine learning expert. Instead, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working with technology, organized, and interested in helping teams successfully introduce new AI-enabled solutions. Throughout the internship, you will gain exposure to different stages of the AI project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, user feedback, training, implementation readiness, and post-launch support. You will also build practical experience working in a cross-functional, professional environment. What You'll Do: As an intern, you may have the opportunity to: • Support AI projects: Assist with day-to-day project activities, milestone tracking, action items, schedules, and project documentation. • Participate in solution testing: Help prepare test scenarios, participate in testing activities, document results, and track issues or feedback. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Work with project team members and business users to help coordinate testing, capture feedback, document observations, and support follow-up activities. • Create training and presentation materials: Help develop presentations, user guides, walkthroughs, demos, and other resources that make new AI solutions easier for employees to understand and use. • Support project meetings: Help organize meetings and workshops, prepare materials, capture key discussion points and action items, and follow up on next steps. • Collaborate across teams: Work with technical and business colleagues to understand project needs and help keep activities and communication organized. • Gather user feedback: Assist in collecting and documenting feedback from users to help the project team understand what is working well and where improvements may be needed.
